Job summary

Tacoma Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Tacoma, WA is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our 5-star skilled therapy team. We offer Full-Time, Part-Time and PRN opportunities with an hourly rate of $60.00–$70.00, based on experience, plus a $2,500 sign-on.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Valid Washington State license as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• CPR certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations and functional assessments of residents' needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to improve ADLs, strength, coordination, and functional independence.
• Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings.
• Supervise OTAs, rehab aides, and students as appropriate.
• Maintain a valid Washington OT license and stay current with regulatory and professional standards.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nursing staff, and therapy colleagues.
• Stay current with continuing education and best practice guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:

The Occupational Therapist (OT) provides high-quality rehabilitative care to residents needing support in restoring or enhancing independence with daily living skills.
