Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking an Occupational Therapist for multiple locations across the United States. The role involves evaluating patients, planning treatment based on physician referrals, and documenting progress in outpatient, inpatient, pediatric, and off-site settings.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates age-specific standards and guidelines across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Proficient data entry, word processing, email, and records management.
• Analytical ability to evaluate patient condition and progress.
• Strong interpersonal skills to interact with colleagues, physicians, patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Review physician referrals and patient medical history to determine therapy needs.
• Conduct and document patient evaluations, re-evaluations and treatment plans per department protocols.
• Administer prescribed occupational therapy treatments and create custom equipment for individual needs.
• Develop programs focusing on functional skills, vocational training, daily activities and motor skills.
• Monitor progress and adjust treatment goals and plans; participate in patient care conferences.
• Educate patients and families on at-home treatment procedures.
