The Occupational Therapist is a skilled professional who has completed an educational program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association. Occupational Therapists provide rehabilitation services to restore function to all patients from pediatrics to geriatrics that have suffered an illness or injury. The goal is to return each patient to their maximum level of independence in work, self‑care and leisure. These goals are established by patient‑therapist team and attained through education, exercise, adaptive techniques and equipment, and specialized treatments for a wide variety of diagnoses.
