Job summary

Shepherd Center is seeking an Assistive Technology Therapist to provide therapy care to patients and deliver training for improved communication and environmental access. Qualifications

• A degree from an accredited program in occupational therapy.
• Must display knowledge of growth, development, and patient needs across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Uses evaluation findings to determine appropriate assistive technology to improve patient care.
• Develops and implements treatment programs to improve communication, device and environmental access, and reassesses as needed.
• Plans and delivers effective Patient and Family Training to ensure proper patient care.
• Completes medical documentation and administrative tasks as necessary.
• Collaborates with other assistive technology departments and programs when appropriate.
• Participates in intra-departmental meetings and committee assignments.
• Keeps up to date with developing assistive technology to maintain state of the art service provision.
• Requires current or eligible OT Georgia licensure.
