Zusammenfassung

Advanced Therapy Solutions seeks an Occupational Therapist with a focus on AAC and assistive technology to support children and adults in community settings. You will evaluate positioning, access, and environmental barriers, collaborating with SLPs, PTs, families, and care teams to personalize communication supports.

Your role includes developing treatment plans, supervising assistants when needed, and traveling across the service area to deliver patient-centered care that promotes participation

Qualifikationen

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and Arizona OT licensure.
• Active license in good standing; at least 1 year of clinical or human services experience preferred.
• Experience with AAC, assistive technology, and complex access needs is strongly preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community visits.

Aufgaben

• Complete comprehensive OT evaluations for individuals with complex needs.
• Assess motor access, positioning, ROM, sensory needs, and environmental barriers.
• Collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists on AAC access methods and supports.
• Evaluate and recommend switches, mounting systems, and alternative access methods.
• Support trials and implementation of AAC devices and related equipment.
• Develop individualized treatment plans to promote communication access and independence.
• Provide community-based OT services for pediatric and adult populations; travel as needed.
• Educate individuals, families, and teams on equipment use and access strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants, when applicable.
