Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited COTA program.
• Proficient in Net Health and Point Click Care data entry.
• Ability to read technical procedures.
• Ability to read and comprehend policy and procedure manuals.
• Ability to effectively present information to managers, coworkers and families.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation per requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment by infection control and equipment maintenance protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate with supervising OT for timely updates to physicians, nursing staff, and families.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercise programs and safety techniques.
• Recommend and facilitate ordering of durable medical equipment to promote ADL independence.
• Maintain confidentiality of residents' information and company data.
• Report equipment problems and contribute to QA and rehab program development.
