Job summary

Mariner Healthcare's La Crescenta Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA). The OTA will administer therapy, assess strength, ROM, and coordination, provide direct care per an established plan, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. A California OTA license is required; one year of clinical experience is preferred, new grads welcome.

Sign-on bonus available and PTO provided. Salary ranges from $85,280 to $104,000 annually, with PRN/on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.
• CA OTA license required.
• New graduates welcomed; 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Measures muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per plan of care and participates in an interdisciplinary team.
• Assists patients with tools and treatments for specific needs and maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs home assessments with OT/PT as appropriate to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
