Job summary

Interim HealthCare is seeking a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) in Topeka, KS, offering full-time work in a home-based setting. You will provide OT services to patients in their homes, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to meet individualized goals and improve daily living activities.

The role emphasizes one-to-one patient care, adherence to state/federal home health regulations, and building safety-conscious routines within a patient’s home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OTA license in Kansas.
• CPR certification is required.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Good clinical judgment and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks.
• Work with a home health team including RN, LPN, CNA, HHA, PT and SLP.
• Assist patients with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination.
• Suggest adaptive equipment like grab bars and shower chairs for safety.
• Introduce strategies to improve home safety.
• Educate patient and family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-care.
