Interim HealthCare of Manhattan is seeking a Home Health OTA to help patients regain independence in the Topeka & Lawrence, Kansas area. This full-time role focuses on delivering customized home-based therapy and improving daily living activities in the patient’s home.

You will work with a home health team to implement plans of care, educate patients and families, and promote safety at home. The position offers 1:1 patient care, flexible assignments, online training, and benefits including

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program and active OTA license in Kansas.
• CPR certification.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations.
• Good clinical judgment, strong interpersonal skills, resourceful and compassionate

Responsabilités

• Provide occupational therapy to patients unable to perform daily tasks due to an illness or injury.
• Work as part of a home health team with RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, PTs and SLPs to align with the plan of care and patient goals.
• Assist patients with exercises to improve fine motor skills and coordination.
• Suggest adaptive equipment such as grab bars and shower chairs to improve safety.
• Introduce strategies to enhance home safety.
• Educate patient and family on plan of care, exercises, goals and self-care

As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant, here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
