Job summary

ACHE in Topeka, KS is seeking a day shift, full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team. You will deliver care per approved OT plans, collaborate with therapists and staff to support patient progress, and contribute to a patient-centered care approach.

Qualifications include an Associate’s degree in OTA, Kansas OTA license, CPR, and BLS within 14 days of hire; prior clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Active Kansas OTA license.
• CPR certification and BLS certification (BLS to be obtained within 14 days of hire).

Responsibilities

• Performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans of care and delivers prescribed care to patients in line with AOTA standards and Kansas practice act.
• Provides direction and clinical supervision to clinical support staff.
• Promotes occupational therapy services and professional development within the organization and community.
• Reports to the assigned leader of department.

• Performs delivery of care following occupational therapy plans of care, and assures delivery of prescribed care to assigned patients consistent with standards of practice defined by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the occupational therapy practice act in the State of Kansas.

Qualifications:

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Previous medical setting or rehabilitation setting experience.
