Santa Monica Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Santa Monica, CA. The role offers a salary range of $85,280 to $104,000 per year and includes a sign-on bonus.

You will work within an interdisciplinary team to administer treatments, conduct assessments, and support residents’ discharge planning. California licensure is required for OT Assistant; new grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; New graduates welcomed.

Responsabilités

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

ccupacial Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
