As a Home Health Occupational Therapist Assistant, you will:

1. Provide therapy services planned, delegated, and supervised by the qualified Occupational Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
2. Assist in implementing vocational/education programs and activities established by registered Occupational Therapists to restore, reinforce, and enhance task performance, diminish or correct pathology, and promote/maintain health and self-sufficiency.
3. Design and adapt equipment and environments, fabricating devices to assist and improve function, independence, and participation in the program and/or community where possible.
4. Provide therapeutic treatment and instruction to patients as directed by the qualified Occupational Therapist and in accordance with physician orders to improve or restore strength, coordination, range of motion, and function, or teach compensation measures.
5. Report observations to Occupational Therapist and/or Clinical Supervisor, document in patient records, and assist with progress reports, maintaining required documentation.
6. Instruct patients and family members on home programs and the use of adaptive equipment.
7. Participate in care coordination and discharge planning, acting as a resource to other healthcare personnel to meet patient needs.
8. Design community reintegration activities to aid in physical reconditioning and psychological adjustment, coordinating plans with the interdisciplinary team.

Required Experience/Skills:

• Current and unrestricted OTA licensure
• Minimum of six months occupational therapist assistant experience preferred
• Home Health experience a plus
• Current CPR certification
• Good organizational and communication skills
• A valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation

Pay Range

The compensation range below is an estimate of starting pay for full-time employment (40 hours/week). Pay may vary based on location, skills, experience, and other factors.

• $37.00 - $52.00 per visit/unit
• $58,400 - $80,000 per year base pay
