Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a PRN role to support patient care across our rehabilitation services. You will collaborate with the occupational therapy team to advance patient goals, document care, and educate families and staff on home programs.

The position requires Virginia licensure as a COTA, CPR certification, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in care delivery.

Qualifications

• Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in Virginia.
• CPR certification is required.
• Virginia license required or eligible for COTA practice.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
