Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation Frye Regional Medical Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for Med Surg to join our fast-paced rehab team. This full-time role offers day shifts with 7:00am-4:00pm or 8:00am-5:00pm, and rotating weekends and holidays.

You will provide direct patient care, communicate progress to the supervisor, and document care in compliance with regulatory standards. The team emphasizes growth, patient-centered care, and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience in rehabilitation or med-surg settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or problems to supervisor and other team members; instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Assist with patient scheduling and post charges daily to patient records.
• Document patient care in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Handle job responsibilities in accordance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable professional standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
