Centra Rehabilitation Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, seeks an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for a PRN schedule in Lynchburg, VA. The OTA will work under the supervision of an OTR/L to deliver patient-focused rehabilitation, document progress, and adjust activities to changing needs in a 50-bed inpatient setting.

Applicants must hold active state licensure and current BLS/CPR; prior patient care experience is preferred.

• Applicants should have a current state licensure.
• Previous experience in the care of patients preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR.

Responsabilités

• Under supervision of the supervising OTR/L, acquires information and implements programs using varied techniques.
• Observes safety indications and contraindications for patients.
• Provides treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and documents per hospital policy.
• Monitors treatment progress toward goals and suggests changes to the supervising OTR/L.
• Communicates with support staff regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising OTR/L.

Centra Rehabilitation Hospital is a brand-new 50 bed inpatient rehabilitation facility that recently opened. We offer high-quality, compassionate care for a wide variety of patients in need. Our teams provide evidence-based, transformational care for a broad range of injuries and illnesses in a compassionate, comfortable environment.

How You'll Contribute

An Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) who excels in this role:

• Under guidance of supervising OTR/L: Acquires pertinent information and implements comprehensive program using varied techniques and treatment activities; reviews and modifies treatment in response to changing patient needs; identifies equipment and discharge needs.
• Is aware of patient injury/diagnosis and takes all necessary precautions for observing indications and contradictions.
• Provides treatment to diverse diagnostic populations and completes supporting documentation according to hospital policy and State Practice Act.
• Observes treatment affect, accomplishment of short and long term goals and recommends change to the supervising OTR/L, if needed.
• Communicates collaborates with support personnel regarding treatment orders as directed by the supervising OTR/L.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a current state licensure. Additional requirements include:
