Angels of Care currently has opportunities for part-time and full-time certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA).

Pay Range: $42,000 - $86,000

Job Description:

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) will implement treatment programs to assist pediatric patients with physical, cognitive, sensory, and social/emotional disabilities or delays by planning and administering occupational therapy in the home and community.

Requirements:
  • Texas State COTA license
  • Current CPR certification
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience preferred
Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and meet the needs of the patient and family by implementing occupational therapy treatment plans in conjunction with the occupational therapist supervisor.
  • Assist pediatric and young adult patients in physical, neurological, cognitive, sensory, feeding, ADL’s, and social/emotional development, improving their independence through skilled interventions.
  • Educate, coach, and empower caregivers and families to develop skills to carry over therapeutic activities into daily routines.
  • Design and instruct patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs to ensure continuation of therapeutic plans following discharge.
  • Document patient care services and care coordination in an electronic medical record system.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
