Job summary

Lourdes Medical Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. The COTA provides direct patient care under supervision, assists with therapies and documentation, and supports quality and compliance in rehabilitation services.

Responsibilities include communicating patient progress to the supervising OT and interdisciplinary team, instructing families or nursing staff in home programs, and maintaining equipment and cleanliness.

Qualifications

  • Licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state where services are rendered.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required within 30 days of hire.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

How you'll contribute

A Physical Therapy Assistant who excels in this role:

  • The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist, assisting with therapeutic interventions and documentation while supporting quality and compliance standards in rehabilitation services
  • Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.

  • Document patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
  • Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly range: $28.43- $38.38
