BMP Tri-Co. Sp. Ed. Coop. seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct and indirect services under supervision across multiple districts in north-central Illinois.
You will screen and assist in evaluations, participate in IEP/eligibility meetings, and collaborate with teachers and related service providers to plan and implement motor and functional supports. A strong communicator with a valid Illinois COTA license is required.
Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Support students across multiple districts with sensory motor and functional needs
Conduct screenings and assist in evaluations
Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings to help teams make informed decisions
Collaborate daily with teachers, related service providers, and building teams
Help implement interventions, supports, and adaptive equipment
Communicate consistently with supervising OTs regarding caseload and student progress
Maintain clear, timely documentation
Support families in understanding their child’s needs when appropriate
Illinois License as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Ability to collaborate and problem-solve with teams
Strong communication skills and professionalism
