Job summary

BMP Tri-Co. Sp. Ed. Coop. seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide direct and indirect services under supervision across multiple districts in north-central Illinois.

You will screen and assist in evaluations, participate in IEP/eligibility meetings, and collaborate with teachers and related service providers to plan and implement motor and functional supports. A strong communicator with a valid Illinois COTA license is required.

Qualifications

• COTA license in Illinois required.
• Ability to collaborate and problem-solve with teams.
• Strong communication skills and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under supervision.
• Support students across multiple districts with sensory motor and functional needs.
• Conduct screenings and assist in evaluations.
• Participate in IEP and eligibility meetings to inform decisions.
• Collaborate daily with teachers, related service providers, and building teams.
• Implement interventions, supports, and adaptive equipment.
• Communicate with supervising OTs regarding caseload and student progress.
• Maintain clear, timely documentation.
• Support families in understanding their child’s needs.
