Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) play a vital role in this process, working under the guidance of nurses.

We are hiring Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTA) to perform timely and accurate treatments, demonstrate clinical judgment, communicate effectively with the team, adhere to policies and standards, support program growth, meet productivity standards, and contribute to a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services as prescribed by the physician under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Follow policies, procedures, and conform to all care standards, regulations, and laws.
• Implement appropriate techniques based on treatment goals.
• Ensure patient safety during care.
• Coordinate services with healthcare teams, including discharge planning.
• Share knowledge and facilitate learning to improve performance.
• Document care according to policy with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate documentation to prevent denials upon review.
• Update on patient’s clinical condition regularly.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and family.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education.
• Record hours worked and other required data.
• Respect patient rights and serve as a resource for the team.

Requirements

• Current and unrestricted Occupational Therapist Assistant license in Massachusetts.
• Current CPR certification.
• Proficiency in assessments, documentation, and compliance with care standards.
