Job summary

TALENT Software Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant to support licensed OTs in a clinical setting serving frail and elderly participants. You will assist with tests, support restorative therapy, and help implement individualized care plans to maximize independence and safety in ADLs.

Report to an Occupational Therapist, collaborate with the rehab team, and manage documentation, equipment use, and care coordination. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, on-site with no travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population.
• Knowledge and skills necessary to treat frail, elderly participants with complex needs.
• Excellent clinical, organizational, and communication skills in settings with seniors, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience and competency working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
• Commitment to unlocking the full potential of vulnerable seniors.

Responsibilities

• Administer treatment programs as established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist in obtaining vital signs, range of motion, and strength testing.
• Coordinate with the rehabilitation team to implement activities and programs based on individual treatment plans.
• Handle scheduling of treatment, clinical visits, and billing.
• Deliver and document Occupational Therapy interventions in accordance with established care plans.
• Provide training and instructions in the use and care of therapeutic equipment.
• Track and manage maintenance for equipment.
• Update the Occupational Therapist promptly of any changes in participants' condition or functional status.
• Participate in end-of-life care coordination and support.
• Complete all required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
• Protect privacy and maintain confidentiality of all procedures and information.
• Follow policies and procedures and participate in Quality Improvement activities, staff training, and meetings.
• Communicate regularly regarding workload and priorities.
• Complete all mandated training and education.
• Complete all mandated occupational health screenings as needed.
• Exercise flexibility in performing assignments as business needs evolve.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist Assistant, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, is responsible for assisting with tests and providing restorative and rehabilitative Occupational Therapy services. This role aims to maximize participant independence and safety while enhancing the performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
