Job summary

SSM Health Rehabilitation - Acute Care in Richmond Heights, MO seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) for per diem coverage. This role offers tiered hourly pay and weekend shift differentials, supporting a leading rehabilitation network in the St. Louis area.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, designing and modifying treatment plans, and directing therapy services while educating patients and families. Valid state license and BLS are required; acute/inpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid state license or eligibility for state license as an Occupational Therapist.
• BLS certification or completion within first 90 days of employment.
• Acute or inpatient experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction.
• Responsible for delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients.
• Ensures design of functional treatment programs allowing effective return to community activities.
• Educates patients, families, students, coworkers and self.
• Performs other professional duties related to therapy services and program delivery.
