Job summary

Salem Health is seeking an occupational therapist for our Acute Rehabilitation team at Salem Hospital. You will evaluate and treat patients across neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, ICU, and more, supporting joint replacement, spine surgery, and stroke recovery.

Department: Acute Rehabilitation

Position Type: Full Time, 36 hours/week, Exempt

Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, four 9-hour shifts, with rotating weekends within a four-week rotation.

Your role with us

As an occupational therapist in our Acute Rehabilitation team at Salem Health, you will be evaluating and treating patients in a wide variety of specialty areas such as neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, intensive care and so much more. Be part of our Centers of Excellence, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care to patients undergoing joint replacement surgery, spine surgery and stroke recovery.

• Conduct evidence-based evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapists, speech therapists, and care managers.
• Deliver exceptional patient and family-centered care with a strong emphasis on communication and customer service.
• Communicate professionally and effectively within the team and across departments.

Required qualifications

• Holds a valid occupational therapy license to practice in the state of Oregon or is license eligible.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
