Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is a leading academic quaternary care system in Chicago's western suburbs. The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and implements therapy programs, provides education, and participates in discharge planning.

This role supervises assistants and students and supports new program development and outcomes/research activities. Qualifications include a Master's in Occupational Therapy, IL licensure, CPR/BLS, and 1–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Illinois license as an Occupational Therapist.
• CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and plan an effective occupational therapy program for inpatients and outpatients.
• Provide patient education, discharge planning, and supervise assistants and students.
• Contribute to program development and outcomes/research activities.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff in areas of expertise.

What you'll do:

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and implements an effective Occupational Therapy program based upon assessment, clinical judgement and psychological sensitivity for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses. Provides patient education, consultation and discharge planning, supervises and delegates patient care to Certified Occupational Therapists Assistants, Rehab Technicians and Occupational Therapy students. Contributes to the growth of Occupational Therapy Services by assisting with the development of new programs and outcomes/research activities; acts as an operational and clinical resource for staff in areas of expertise.

What you’ll need for this job:

• MastersDegree; OccupationalTherapy
• 1-3 years of job related experience preferred
• BasicLifeSupport(CPR)
• IL licensure as an OccupationalTherapist

Mon - Fri 8 - 4:30 pm; Weekends every 4-5 weeks, 1 - 2 holidays per year

Compensation:

Pay Range: $32.90-$57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
