Loyola Medicine, a member of Trinity Health, is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients and plan a comprehensive therapy program in a busy Chicago-area system.

The role includes delivering therapy for diverse diagnoses, providing patient education and discharge planning, and supervising assistants while contributing to program development and outcomes research. IL licensure and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• IL licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• 1-3 years of related experience preferred.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates patients and plans an effective Occupational Therapy program.
• Implements therapy for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses.
• Provides patient education, discharge planning and supervision of staff.

What you'll do:

The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients, plans and implements an effective Occupational Therapy program based upon assessment, clinical judgement and psychological sensitivity for inpatients and/or outpatients with diverse diagnoses. Provides patient education, consultation and discharge planning, supervises and delegates patient care to Certified Occupational Therapists Assistants, Rehab Technicians and Occupational Therapy students. Contributes to the growth of Occupational Therapy Services by assisting with the development of new programs and outcomes/research activities; acts as an operational and clinical resource for staff in areas of expertise.

What you’ll need for this job:

Mon - Fri 8 - 4:30 pm; Weekends every 4-5 weeks, 1 - 2 holidays per year

Compensation:

Pay Range: $32.90-$57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
