Job summary

The Occupational Therapist at Community Health Systems, Inc. evaluates, plans, and administers therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and functional skills for children and adults, under physician referral.

You will develop individualized treatment plans, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehab staff to ensure safe, effective care and smooth transitions across the care team.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical OT experience.
• Experience in hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conducts comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and documents findings.
• Develops individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Provides safe, effective therapeutic interventions and patient education.
• Regularly reassesses progress and updates treatment plans.
• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, and rehab professionals for coordinated care.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment and proper equipment use.
• Mentors staff and students, supporting professional growth.
• Ensures accurate billing documentation and compliance with standards.
