Job summary

Ingham ISD in Mason, MI is seeking an Occupational Therapist for two 1.0 FTE positions. The role engages in OT services for identified students with disabilities across general and special education settings.

Responsibilities include participating in multidisciplinary evaluations, delivering OT per IEP guidelines, and collaborating with teachers and staff to support students’ functional skills and accessibility needs. Michigan OT licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Possess a Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
• Earned degree from an approved Occupational Therapy program.
• Preferred experience with assistive technology and ADLs for students with severe disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to students with disabilities as recommended by IEP teams.
• Participate in multidisciplinary evaluation and comprehensive assessments.

About The Role

Within the Division of Student Support Services, and under the general direction of the administrator, this position is responsible for providing Occupational Therapy support for identified students with disabilities in general education, special education or vocational programs.

• Participates as a member of the multidisciplinary evaluation team and assists in the comprehensive assessment of students suspected of having a disability as outlined in the Michigan Administrative Rules for Special Education.
• Provides occupational therapy services, as recommended by Individualized Educational Programming team, to students with disabilities enrolled in general education, special education and/or vocational programs.
• Coordinates with and provides consultative services to general education and special education teachers, teacher consultants for physically or otherwise health impaired and other special education staff working with students with disabilities.

About You

• Possess a Michigan Occupational Therapy License.
• Earned degree from a college or university offering an approved program in Occupational Therapy.
• Preferred experience in the area of access with assistive technology, and in the area of ADLs with an emphasis on feeding and eating skills for students with severe, multiple disabilities.
