Job summary

The Pediatric Therapy Center of Wichita in Wichita, KS is seeking a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist to assess and treat pediatric clients across home, school, and community settings. You will develop individualized plans and work closely with families to support progress.

Qualifications

Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Occupational Therapist role based in Wichita, KS. The Occupational Therapist will assess children’s developmental, functional, and sensory needs, and create individualized treatment plans to support progress at home, school, and in the community. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include providing hands‑on therapy sessions, documenting evaluations and treatment notes, monitoring progress, and adjusting interventions as needed. The role involves regular communication with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure coordinated care and to provide education on strategies that promote skill development and independence. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to a positive clinic environment by participating in team meetings, collaborating on treatment approaches, and maintaining professional standards and licensure requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to develop and implement pediatric treatment plans.
  • Understanding of Pediatrics and Medicine as they relate to child development, functional performance, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Effective Communication skills for collaborating with children, families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
  • Current license or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Previous pediatric clinical experience in outpatient, school‑based, or related settings is preferred.
  • Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced clinical environment and manage a caseload efficiently.
  • Commitment to evidence‑based practice, continued professional development, and culturally responsive care.
