Job summary

Soar Autism Center in Westminster, CO is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support children aged 2-6 in a center-based setting. You will plan naturalistic OT interventions and collaborate with ABA, SLP, and psychology teams.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • License to practice occupational therapy.
  • Preference for 3+ years of experience; open to new grads.
  • Ability to connect with young children and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement naturalistic OT for children ages 2-6 in a center-based setting.
  • Develop interventions for gross motor, fine motor, feeding, and ADLs.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans with ABA, SLP, psychology; co-treat with speech team.
  • Coach and mentor RBTs to translate OT goals into therapy and support career growth.
  • Monitor progress, update plans, and communicate changes to families.
  • Partner with families to set goals, build relationships, and coach them through progress.

Come join Soar Autism Center as an Occupational Therapist! Soar is building a network of interdisciplinary clinics where children with autism and their families receive life‑shaping services that support them to thrive. We prioritize early intervention, comprehensive supportive services, and positive, developmentally appropriate learning that meets the needs of each unique child and family. Specifically, we focus on integrated autism care that serves the needs of young children with autism.

Role Overview
  • Plan and implement naturalistic occupational therapy for young children ages 2-6 years old in a center-based setting
  • Develop interventions for young clients to support client gross motor skills, fine motor skills, feeding, and other activities of daily living
  • Conduct multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans in coordination with other clinical specialties (ABA, speech, psychology) as well as perform co-treatments with the speech therapy team
  • Coach and mentor a team of RBTs to effectively translate OT goals into their therapy, and support their career growth and progression
  • Monitor client progress, update treatment plans and goals, and communicate needed changes to team members and families
  • Partner with client families to develop goals, build relationships, communicate progress, and coach and support them in their journey
Qualifications
  • Have a Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Have your license to practice occupational therapy
  • Preference to OTs with 3+ years of experience, but also open to new OTs starting their career
  • Embody a playful spirit and the ability to connect and engage with young children
  • Clear professional communication, both verbally and in writing
