Job summary

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in a center-based setting. You will design naturalistic therapy for young children, coordinate with ABA, speech, and psychology colleagues, and support RBTs to align OT goals with sessions.

You will collaborate with families to set goals, monitor progress, and adjust plans as children grow. This role emphasizes early intervention and integrated care in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with children with autism or related developmental disorders.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver naturalistic pediatric OT for children aged 2–6 years in a center-based setting.
• Develop targeted interventions to improve gross motor, fine motor, feeding, and daily activities.
• Perform multidisciplinary assessments and create treatment plans with ABA, SLP, and psychology.
• Co-treat with speech therapy and coach RBTs to integrate OT goals.
• Monitor progress, adjust plans, and communicate with families and team.
• Build collaborative partnerships with families and provide ongoing coaching and support.

Soar Autism Center is actively seeking a Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team. At Soar, we are building a network of interdisciplinary clinics that provide transformative services for children with autism and their families. Our focus is on early intervention, comprehensive support services, and fostering positive, developmentally appropriate learning experiences tailored to the individual needs of each child and family. We specialize in integrated autism care specifically designed for young children with autism.

Role Overview

As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist at Soar, you will

• Design and execute naturalistic occupational therapy for young children aged 2-6 years in a center-based environment.
• Develop targeted interventions to enhance clients' gross motor, fine motor skills, feeding abilities, and performance in other daily activities.
• Conduct comprehensive multidisciplinary assessments and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with other clinical domains (ABA, speech therapy, psychology), including conducting co-treatments with the speech therapy team.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to a team of Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), guiding them in integrating OT goals into their therapy sessions and supporting their professional development.
• Regularly monitor client progress, revising treatment plans and objectives as needed, and ensuring effective communication with team members and families.
• Forge strong partnerships with families, setting collaborative goals, fostering meaningful relationships, communicating progress, and offering dedicated coaching and support throughout their journey.

Qualifications

• A degree in Occupational Therapy with a focus on pediatrics or a similar field
• Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist
• Experience in working with children with autism or related developmental disorders
• Strong understanding of and commitment to early intervention and integrated care approaches
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with a passion for supporting the growth and development of children with autism
