Aegis Healthcare in Tucson, AZ is expanding its Home Health & Hospice teams and seeks a dynamic Occupational Therapist to enhance patient engagement and independence. This full-time role offers schedule flexibility and a comprehensive benefits package, with compensation in the $90k–$120k range depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Current Licensed, registered or Certified in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work with diverse personalities.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean record; reliable transportation.
• Proof of current auto insurance & registration.
• Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help).
• Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test).

Responsibilities

• Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.
• Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct interventions.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in Activities of Daily Living (ADL).
• Teach patient new ways of approaching tasks and break down activities into achievable components.
• Assess patient's home and environments and advise on suitable alterations.
• Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report progress of long and short-term treatment goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
