Job summary

Aegis Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist for our Home Health & Hospice teams in Scottsdale, AZ. The ideal candidate will assess patients, select evidence-based therapy models, and help patients perform ADLs safely at home.

Responsibilities include teaching new task approaches, educating family/caregivers, and recommending adaptive equipment while documenting progress toward goals. We offer flexible schedules and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
  • Current Licensed, registered or Certified in the state of practice (AZ).
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.

  • Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality.
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions.
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL).
  • Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components.
  • Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals.

COMPENSATION: $90k-$120k/Annual DOE for Full Time
STATUS: Full-Time / Part Time / PRN
SCHEDULE: Schedule Flexibility M-F 8am - 5pm
LOCATION: Scottsdale, AZ

Job Summary

Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current Licensed, registered or Certified in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
  • Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
  • Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current auto insurance & registration
  • Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
  • Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
