Job summary

Achieve Beyond seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist in Suffolk, NY. You will provide pediatric therapy services across client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings, supporting children birth to 21 years.

A NYS OT license is required and 1–2 years of experience with children is preferred. Flexible scheduling and collaboration with experienced clinical supervisors and staff are key benefits, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k;

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about working with children and families.
• 1-2 years of experience with children birth-5 preferred.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth-21 years in various settings (homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, community settings).
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to promote carryover and involvement.
• Follow individualized therapy plans and document progress; plan ongoing treatment and goals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidential child records per HIPAA and regulations.
• Travel to and from assigned cases (driving personal vehicle, public transit, etc.).
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure timely submission of required records.

Wage: Evaluations $130.00 - $250.00/hourly $60.00-$70.00

Job Responsibilities For a Occupational Therapist

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Occupational Therapist

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth5 is preferred but not necessary
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate

Evaluations $130.00 - $250.00/hourly $60.00-$70.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Occupational Therapist Job interview process.
