Job summary

Achieve Beyond in NYC, NY is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our pediatric team. The role involves evaluations and ongoing therapy across homes, community sites, and clinics to help children reach their goals.

We offer a flexible schedule, strong clinical supervision, and access to a paperless billing system. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401k; NYS OT license is required and experience with children is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have NYS OT license in good standing.
• 1–2 years of experience with children birth–21 years preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated passion for working with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth–21 years in natural settings.
• Educate families and caregivers on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community settings.
• Follow the individualized therapy plan and document progress; plan ongoing treatment.
• Prepare progress reports as needed; maintain confidentiality of records; comply with timelines.

Job Responsibilities For a Occupational Therapist

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth 21 years in a natural setting.
• Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings.
• Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress.
• Prepare progress reports as indicated.
• Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA, state and federal regulations). Required records must be submitted within the established timelines.

Requirements For a Occupational Therapist

• Must have a passion for working with children and families!
• NYS Licensed Occupational Therapist
• 1-2 years of experience working with children birth5 is preferred but not necessary
• Must be self-motivated and a team player who exercises patience and professionalism.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus!

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including but not limited to:
• Driving a personal vehicle, walking and/or the use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
• The ability to ascend and descend staircases.
• The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly.
• The ability to sit on the floor, kneel and/or crawl for extended periods of time.

Starting Rate

Evaluations $128.00 - $175.00/ hourly$66.00-$120.00

Compensation is determined based on experience and education and will be discussed during the Occupational Therapist Job interview process.
