Job summary

CHI Mercy Health in Roseburg, Oregon seeks an Occupational Therapist to help patients regain independence and quality of life, enabling safe daily activities. You will assess diverse patients, develop treatment plans, conduct evaluations, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, documenting thoroughly and providing motivating care to a high volume of patients.

Shift: Days; Monday–Friday; relocation assistance offered.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Oregon Occupational Therapist License.
  • AHA BLS within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

  • Interviews patient and family to gather information on function and home environment.
  • Performs tests, measurements and evaluations as indicated.
  • Establishes measurable functional goals and writes treatment programs.
  • Administers, evaluates and adjusts treatment plans.
  • Monitors all patients under their care.

As an Occupational Therapist, you will help patients regain independence and quality of life so they can safely perform daily activities.

Every day you will assess diverse patients (orthopedic, neurological, sensory, cancer recovery, etc.), develop treatment plans, and conduct evaluations/re-evaluations. You will be expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, document thoroughly, and provide positive, motivating care to a high volume of patients.

To be successful in this role, you must be flexible, adaptable, exceptionally organized, and a personable, motivating team player.

  • Interviews patient, family, caregivers, significant others to obtain information about prior level of function, home environment, family relationships, health and psychosocial history.
  • Performs client tests, measurements and evaluations as indicated for the patient’s condition.
  • Establishes measurable/functional treatment goals.
  • Plans and prepares written treatment programs based on evaluation, age-related and diagnosis- related policies. Administers, evaluates and adjusts the treatment.
  • Monitors all patients under his/her care.

Shift: Days

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Required
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Oregon Occupational Therapist License
  • AHA BLS within 30 Days
Preferred
  • Clinical experience dealing with a broad based rehabilitation facility

$45.04 - $67.00 /hour
