Job summary

CHAPEL HILL NURSING CENTER in Randallstown, Maryland, seeks an Occupational Therapist for an in-house Skilled Nursing Facility. Full Time, Part Time, or PRN positions available.

You will plan, organize, develop, and direct OT services in accordance with standards to ensure high-quality resident care. Responsibilities include screening residents, developing treatment plans, communicating findings to families and team, and supervising COTA as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Must have an active state OT license.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention or treatment for each patient.
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings and treatment plans to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members.
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services.
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices.

Education

Degree in Occupational Therapy

Active state OT license

Job Position: Occupational Therapist for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, or PRN positions available

Job Purpose

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient
• Evaluate residents to inform and develop treatment plans; establish short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Oversee COTA as needed and ensure all documentation and treatments are carried out with clinical excellence and proper reimbursement practices are being followed
