Job summary

Chapel Hill Nursing Center in Randallstown, Maryland, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join an in-house SNF team. This opportunity offers competitive hourly pay, flexible scheduling (full time, part time or PRN), and a supportive environment focused on resident-centered care.

You will plan and direct OT services, screen residents, implement treatment plans, document care per CMS standards, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to maintain high quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice required.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Screen residents to determine best intervention for each patient.
• Perform treatment plans and follow short/long-term goals in coordination with supervising therapist.
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families, and interdisciplinary team.
• Establish resident therapy schedules with input from team members.
• Document and bill occupational therapy services per CMS standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned to effectively treat patients.
• Comply with CMS documentation standards of practice daily.

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for an In-house Skilled Nursing Facility

Job Type

Full Time, Part time or PRN

Job Purpose

To plan, organize, develop, and direct Occupational Therapy Services in facility in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, and as may be directed by Administrator, to ensure that highest degree of quality resident care can be maintained at all times.

Job Functions

• Conduct regular screening of residents to figure out the best intervention or treatment for each individual patient based off scope of practice
• Perform treatment plan to residents; follow short and long-term goals and methods to achieve goals based off the established plan of care by supervising therapist
• Interpret and communicate evaluation findings, treatment plans, and recommendations to residents, families/caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members
• Establish individual resident therapy schedules in cooperation with other team members
• Conduct therapy according to established treatment plan and ensure proper documentation and billing of occupational therapy services
• Perform all other duties as assigned and as required to effectively treat patients
• Comply with all CMS documentation standards of practice daily with point of care documentations as indicated

Education & Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy
• MUST have active OTA licensure in state(s) of practice
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development
