Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers in California. You will work with families to implement strategies that support developmental goals within the child’s natural environment.

Join a multidisciplinary team offering flexible schedules and a sign-on bonus. Mileage paid between sessions, monthly tech stipend, and benefits for part-time staff are included where applicable.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience in Early Intervention preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and OT services using the Parent Coaching Model.
• Follow the IFSP and work with families to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to boost caregiver confidence and skills.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycare, community).
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Occupational Therapy license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
