Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. in Pleasanton, CA is seeking licensed Occupational Therapists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers. The role emphasizes family-centered coaching in the child’s natural environment with sessions in homes and community settings.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, follow IFSP plans, and support families to develop practical strategies, with opportunities for a sign-on bonus and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• California Occupational Therapy license.
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred).
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide occupational therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon).
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals.
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized.
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual).
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations).
