The team uses functional, innovative techniques to help clients gain greater physical, cognitive, social, and emotional independence at home, in the community, and at work. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Petoskey, MI. The Occupational Therapist will provide 1-on-1, evidence-informed neurological and cognitive rehabilitation, focusing on functional goals that enhance clients’ independence in self-care, work, and community activities. Daily responsibilities include evaluating clients, developing individualized treatment plans, delivering contextualized interventions, and documenting progress in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, as well as regular communication with clients, families, and caregivers to support education, carryover, and goal alignment. The Occupational Therapist will also contribute to program development, uphold safety and quality standards, and participate in ongoing professional learning.

Qualifications

• Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, including assessment, treatment planning, and functional intervention for neurological and cognitive conditions.
• Foundational knowledge in Medicine and related health sciences to support safe, coordinated care with the broader healthcare team.
• Strong Communication skills for educating clients, families, and caregivers, and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
• Experience or interest in Pediatrics and adult populations, with the ability to adapt interventions across age groups.
• Current licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program; advanced training in neurorehabilitation is a plus.
• Ability to provide on-site, hands-on care, including safe handling, therapeutic activities, and use of adaptive equipment.
• Commitment to person-centered care, professional ethics, and ongoing continuing education in neurological and cognitive rehabilitation.
