Job summary

CareOne at Newton, MA is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehab team. The OT will provide resident care, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with nursing and clinical staff to improve patient outcomes.

We offer full-time or part-time positions with benefits and per diem options. A Master's in OT and a current state license are required, with a preference for experience in older adult rehabilitation and knowledge of regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy required.
• Current and Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of operation.
• Prefer experience in older adult rehabilitation.
• Prefer knowledge of governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.

Responsibilities

• Provides and directs resident rehabilitation care within accepted practice methods, meeting center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Evaluates residents and establishes effective and efficient treatment plans for those assigned.
• Manages and coordinates supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines.
• Participates in screening residents according to schedules and practices.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet requirements and maintains billing records.

The Occupational Therapist's (OT) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level.

Position Information

Hiring for all shifts: Full Time, Part Time with Benefits & Per Diem

Min $38/hr - Max $65/hr

Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, and work schedule

Location: Newton, MA

Facility: CareOne at Newton

Practice Setting: (Short Term Rehab, Assisted Living, LTACH, Long Term Care)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides and directs resident/resident rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Evaluates residents/resident needs and establishes effective and efficient treatment plans for the resident/residents assigned.
• Manages and coordinates the supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines as indicated.
• Participates in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in all center directed processes and services.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
• Participates in in-service training programs as requested
• May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis

Position Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current and Active Occupational Therapist license within the state of operations.
• Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
• Prefer knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
