Job summary

Aegis Healthcare in the East Valley, AZ is seeking an Occupational Therapist to enhance patient engagement in daily activities within Home Health & Hospice. Flexible full-time options include Part-Time or PRN, with a schedule from 8am to 5pm and a priority on compassionate, patient-centered care.

The role requires OT licensure in good standing, at least 2 years of related experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
  • Current Licensed/Registered/Certified in the state of practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Address patient’s performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model and interventions.
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and ADL performance.
  • Educate patients on breaking down tasks into achievable steps.
  • Assess home and environments and advise on necessary adaptations.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
  • Educate family members and caregivers.
  • Monitor progress and report on short- and long-term goals.

COMPENSATION: $90k-$120k/Annual DOE for Full Time

STATUS: Full-Time / Part Time / PRN

SCHEDULE: Schedule Flexibility M-F 8am - 5pm

LOCATION: East Valley, AZ

Job Summary
  • Address patient's performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being, and life quality
  • Select appropriate occupational therapy treatment model, method, and approach to direct the process of interventions
  • Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL)
  • Teach patient's new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable components
  • Assess patient's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities
  • Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use
  • Guide and educate family members and caregivers
  • Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short-term treatment goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Desired Skills & Qualifications
  • Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Current Licensed, registered of Certified in the state of practice
  • Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with different types of personalities
  • Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement
  • Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
  • Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
  • Proof of current auto insurance & registration
  • Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
  • Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
