Job summary
Aegis Healthcare is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Home Health & Hospice teams in the East Valley, AZ area. You will assess patients, develop and implement therapy plans, and educate families to maximize safety and independence.

Qualifications
- Graduate from a two-year college level program approved by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Licensed, registered or certified in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 2 years related experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgement.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and time management.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Proof of auto insurance and vehicle registration.
- Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Current CPR certification and TB test.
Responsibilities
- Address patient’s performance to support engagement in occupations affecting health and life quality.
- Select occupational therapy treatment models and approaches to direct the process of interventions.
- Apply interventions to maximize safety and independence in activities of daily living (ADL).
- Teach new ways of approaching tasks and break down activities into achievable components.
- Assess patient homes and environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
- Recommend adaptive equipment and train in its use.
- Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
- Observe, note, and report on progress of long and short‑term treatment goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
