Job summary

Aegis Healthcare in the East Valley (Mesa) is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to deliver compassionate home health and hospice care in patients’ homes. You will assist with personal care, mobility, and daily living activities while monitoring health status and reporting to the medical team.

Qualified candidates hold an AZ CNA license, with Home Health/Hospice experience preferred, and must have a valid driver's license and clear background. We offer onboarding and stable daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in the state of practice (AZ).
• Home Health and/or Hospice experience preferred (CNA).
• Ability to transfer patients and assist with mobility.
• Strong verbal and written communication and time-management skills.
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation; clean record.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care such as grooming and bathing for patients with limited mobility.
• Assist patients with eating and monitor vital signs for changes.
• Aid in patient mobility including transfers between wheelchairs and beds.
• Position patients to prevent bedsores and enhance comfort.
• Assist Hospice patients and support end-of-life care in home settings.

COMPENSATION: $20-24 Per Hour / DOE

STATUS: Full-Time, W2 Employee

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday 8am-5pm

Job Summary

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Aegis Healthcare, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional home health and end-of-life care to our patients. As a Hospice Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care. As a CNA Caregiver, you will assist patients by providing personal care such as grooming and bathing, especially for those with limited mobility. You will support patients in eating, monitor and report vital signs and any notable patient behaviors to the medical team. Additionally, you will aid in patient mobility, including transfers between wheelchairs and beds, and routinely adjust patients' positioning in bed to prevent bedsores and enhance comfort.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of practice
• Home Health and/or Hospice experience as a CNA preferred
• Ability to utilize a full range of movement to transfer patients
• Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
• Valid Driver's License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
• Proof of current auto insurance & registration
• Valid AZ Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
• Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
