Job summary

HCA HealthONE Sky Ridge seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate patients, develop individualized plans, and deliver hands-on therapy to restore function and independence. You will work with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate care and accurately document progress.

Applicants should hold a degree from an AOTA-accredited program, a Colorado OT license, and current CPR/BLS. Prior LTAC/acute rehab exposure is preferred. No travel required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AOTA-accredited OT program with bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degree.
• Current NBCOT certification.
• Active Colorado OT licensure.
• Current BLS certification for HealthCare Providers.
• Clinical rotation or work experience in acute care hospital, LTAC, SNF, or acute rehab setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• (OT) Occupational Therapist credential.
• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and needs; develop individualized therapy plans with physicians and care team.
• Deliver skilled, evidence-based interventions to promote healing and independence.
• Monitor progress; adjust plans; document outcomes thoroughly.
• Educate patients and families to build understanding and engagement in recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care and exceptional patient experiences.
• Lead by example; guide therapy assistants or students; uphold HCA Healthcare’s mission and values.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Your role will include:

• Evaluating each patient’s functional abilities and needs, then developing individualized therapy plans in coordination with physicians and the care team.
• Delivering skilled, evidence‑based interventions that promote healing, independence, and quality of life through purposeful, compassionate care.
• Monitoring patient progress, adjusting plans as needed, and ensuring thorough, timely documentation that reflects quality outcomes.
• Educating patients and families to build understanding, confidence, and engagement throughout recovery and beyond.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary partners to ensure seamless transitions of care, safe environments, and exceptional patient experiences.
• Leading by example—providing guidance to therapy assistants or students and upholding HCA Healthcare’s mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association accredited school with bachelors, masters or doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy
• Maintains current registration with the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Maintains active Occupational Therapy Certification in the State of Colorado
• Maintains current certification in BLS for HealthCare Providers (in accordance with American Heart Association guidelines)
• Successful completion of student clinical rotation or work experience in at least one of the following settings:
• acute care hospital, long-term acute care facility, skilled nursing facility, and/or acute rehabilitation setting.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
