Job summary

CareOne in Lexington, MA is seeking a Part-Time and Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our in-house rehab team. Unlike many facilities, we provide rehabilitation services in-house, collaborating daily with nursing and clinical staff to optimize patient outcomes.

The OT will assess residents, design treatment plans, document care, and participate in center processes. Requires Master’s in OT and active MA license; prior experience with older adults preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Active OT license in Massachusetts or eligibility to practice in the state.
• Experience in older adult rehabilitation preferred; knowledge of governmental/regulatory guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident rehabilitation care following standard methods.
• Evaluate residents and develop treatment plans.
• Coordinate supervision of treatment plans with staff and other disciplines.
• Screen residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Provide feedback to supervisor on clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participate in center processes and services.
• Document clinical activity to meet requirements.
• Maintain billing records as required.
• Participate in in-service training sessions.
• May travel to other facilities for services.

The Occupational Therapist's (OT) overall responsibility is to provide care to the resident at the highest level.

Position Information: We are looking for Part-Time and Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our team!

Salary Range: $38 - $65 per hour

Compensation will be based on, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, credentials, employment status, and work schedule.

Location: Lexington, MA

Facility: CareOne at Lexington

Practice Setting: (Short Term Rehab, Skilled Nursing, Long Term Care)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides and directs resident/resident rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Evaluates residents/resident needs and establishes effective and efficient treatment plans for the resident/residents assigned.
• Manages and coordinates the supervision of treatment plans with all staff and other disciplines as indicated.
• Participates in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in all center directed processes and services.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
• Participates in in-service training programs as requested
• May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis

Position Requirements

• Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current and Active Occupational Therapist license within the state of operations.
• Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
• Prefer knowledge in governmental and regulatory guidelines in designated healthcare settings.
