Job summary

CareOne at Weymouth is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide rehabilitation services to residents, implement treatment plans under supervision, and maintain accurate documentation as part of a collaborative care team.

This role supports on-site care at our Weymouth center, with potential travel to other facilities. AOTA-eligible OTA program graduate with experience in older adult rehab is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Experience in older adult rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitation care within accepted practice methods across center standards.
• Implements treatment plans as outlined by supervising therapist.
• Provides feedback on clinical and rehabilitation issues to supervisor.
• Participates in resident screening according to schedules.
• Performs clinical documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintains billing records as required.
• May travel to other facilities to provide services.

The Occupational Therapy Assistant's (OTA) overall responsibility is to manage the care of the resident/resident, managing quality of all related outcomes.

Position Information

Location: CareOne at Weymouth, 64 Perforance Drive, Weymouth MA

Practice Setting: (Short Term Rehab, Long Term Care) Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provides rehabilitation care within all general accepted practice methods, meeting all center, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
• Implements treatment plans as outlined by the supervising therapist.
• Provides feedback to the designated supervisor on all clinical and rehabilitation issues.
• Participates in the screening of all residents according to directed schedules and practices.
• Participates in all center directed processes and services.
• Shows effective management of treatment and non-treatment related activities.
• Performs necessary clinical documentation to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
• Maintains complete, accurate and timely billing records to meet center, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements
• Participates in in-service training programs as requested
• May travel to other facilities to provide services on a limited basis

Position Requirements

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Prefer-experience/knowledge in older adult rehabilitation.
