Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team on a per diem basis. The OT will work with a diverse patient population including traumatic brain injury and neuro-recovery cases, delivering expert evaluation, treatment, and documentation in a supportive rural campus setting.

Candidates must hold an NYS OT license in good standing and have a degree conferring the OT credential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree conferring the title of Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Current NYS license in good standing, active throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in Occupational Therapy evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Maintain positive working relationships with facility staff.
• Create and maintain a warm, calm, and supportive facility atmosphere.
• Read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Provide dependable per diem coverage weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Must possess a degree from an accredited academic program conferring the title of Registered Occupational Therapist

• Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment

• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
