Job summary

The Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury in Lake Katrine, NY is seeking a Per Diem Physical Therapist to join our team. You will evaluate patients, set goals, provide treatment, and document in the EMR, while maintaining confidentiality and collaborating with families and staff.

Candidate must hold NYS license in good standing; 1 year of related clinical experience is preferred. Per diem coverage offered with a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must possess a degree conferring the title of Registered Physical Therapist.
• Currently licensed in NYS and in good standing.
• 1 year of therapist experience preferred in hospital or SNF settings.

Responsibilities

• Perform PT evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with staff.
• Provide dependable, per diem coverage.

Physical Therapist - Per Diem

The Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is a one-of-a-kind rehabilitation and community re-entry facility in Lake Katrine, NY, specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Ventilator Care and Ventilator Weaning, Neurobehavioral Disorders, and Complex Medical Recovery. We are currently seeking a Physical Therapist-Per Diem to join our team.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate competence in Physical Therapy evaluation, goal setting, treatment, and EMR documentation
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Effective communication skills for working with patients, families, and caregivers
• Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
• Maintain an excellent working relationship with facility staff members
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the facility
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage

Requirements:

• Must possess a degree from an accredited academic program conferring the title of Registered Physical Therapist
• Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
