Job summary

Northeast Center for Rehabilitation and Brain Injury is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist for per diem coverage in our Mid-Hudson Valley facility, located between New York City and Albany. You will work with a diverse patient population, including traumatic brain injuries and complex medical recovery, providing expert care to support functional gains.

Applicants must be a Registered Occupational Therapist with NYS license; 1 year of hospital/rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree from an accredited program conferring the title of Registered Occupational Therapist.
• Possess a current NYS license and maintain active licensure.
• 1 year of experience in a therapist role in a hospital or rehab facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate competence in OT evaluation, goal setting, treatment and EMR documentation.
• Chart appropriately and timely.
• Effective communication with patients, families and caregivers.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information.
• Maintain positive relationships with facility staff.
• Create a warm, calm environment throughout the facility.
• Provide dependable per diem coverage weekdays/weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dependable, regular per diem coverage weekdays/weekends

Requirements:

• Must possess a degree from an accredited academic program conferring the title of Registered Occupational Therapist
• Possess a current, unencumbered, NYS license and maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment
• 1 year of experience in a therapist capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related medical facility preferred
